July 26th 2008: Urunga Heads Holiday Park, North Coast, New South WalesHelping to raise awareness to young and old
Showing their support of increasing road safety awareness on the North Coast, Urunga Heads holiday park provided the stage and entertainment area for the event, and also donated two nights' accommodation as the major prize of the day.

The event was a great success, raising funds for the various volunteer rescue units with a sausage sizzle and entertainment by Back Yard Ballideer Errol Gray, all adding to the day.  The Urunga SES demonstrated a rescue from a crashed vehicle, talking through the steps taken, discussing their training and ways to help avoid accidents on our roads.

With more than 60% of fatal crashes being caused by excess speed, it's encouraging to receive the support of police, ambulance, SES and local businesses in helping to raise awareness for the Slow Down Now road safety campaign.
