June 12th 2007: Road Safety Day, Coffs Harbour, NSW
Coff's Harbour hosts another Road Safety Awareness Day, SES volunteers saving lives with a generous sausage sizzle, family-fun activities, safety demonstrations, positive debate and practical participation specifically geared around improving driver attitudes where it matters most - on our roads.

Since installing the "Bounce-back" road barrier at Pine Creek, installing speed cameras and reducing the speed limit to 80km/h, there have been zero fatalities - where there had been 13 reported in the previous four years.
Further proof that reducing speed saves lives!
